The Crewkerne office began life as a satellite office of Freeman & Co, established in St Albans 55 years ago by Mr Freeman Senior and continued by Alec Freeman.

Eric Carvill moved from St Albans 30 years ago to open the Crewkerne office. After a few years he successfully built a portfolio of clients supported by an enthusiastic team.  That team was made up of Jonathan Pittard, Michelle Cleal and Stephen Moorse, who were also admitted as associates and then partners of Freeman & Co, each with 20 years of experience.

In April 2008 Freeman Baker was formed following a demerger from the group. To take the business into the next chapter of its future and after completing its first trading year, Carl Statham was admitted as a director following 11 years of service.

We are a friendly, established and trusted firm and are dedicated to providing an excellent service to our clients at all times. We are not interested in baffling you with complicated jargon, we simply want to ensure you are running your business efficiently, maximising profits whilst minimising your incidence to tax.

Our directors manage large and varied portfolios covering sole traders, partnerships and limited companies of all types and size.   

Jonathan, Carl and Eric have vast experience in Licensed Trade activities and Michelle and Stephen look mainly after our corporate clients.
